The Graton family of northern New Hampshire has been restoring and conserving historic buildings and covered bridges for over four generations.
In the 1940s, Milton S. Graton (1908 - 1994) applied his family knowledge of shoring, rigging, and timber framing to the restoration of covered bridges and buildings.
Today, several members of the Graton family continue the tradition of preserving historic structures.
